‘Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what happened’

‘Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what happened’

Studies have unveiled the ‘ultimate’ guide to life.Below are some of life’s major milestones and the ages you ‘should’ have achieved them.

First Kiss-15

‘I fell asleep last night wanting to kiss you ,I woke up this morning and that feeling hadn’t left’This is when the age is inappropriate for the behaviors ,LOL!The hype of getting into Highschool is  super real.

Pass driving test-19

Congratulations, you have passed on your driving test,Now what?

Move out from your parents home-20

Awe,finally I can participate in the public life, freedom!Living alone means freedom, never being bored, going to bed at seven if I feel like it, feeding myself as I like, thinking, pottering and yelling at the TV without feeling a fool. But at this stage your parents are still sponsoring you at your bedsitter/hostel so take a chill pill at least!

First full time job-23

This is usually after the first degree.

Rent on your own-24

Landlord:Where’s your rent? Probably you:I didn’t know it was due again already, how many more days till it’s really late?If I pay you, I won’t have anything left until payday!

Get engaged-25

And you know one of these days when I get my money right
Buy you everything and show you all the finer things in life
Will forever be enough? so there ain’t no need to rush
But one day I won’t be able to ask you loud enough

I’ll say, “Will you marry me?”
I swear that I will mean it
I’ll say, “Will you marry me?” (Insert Jason Derulo’s voice)

Rent with partner-25

Paired life,for better for worse!

Get married-27

That moment you realize it’s too late to run.

Have first child-28

Start earning average wage-30

Enough for spending,saving and investing.

First house-30

Decent home to accommodate the growing family.

Second child-31

“Having one child makes you a parent; having two, you are a referee.”

Buy a brand new car-30

Finally,New ride.

Become the manager at work-35

I’m the boss!

Turn on the relaxation mode,Happy retirement!

Cutting close,I just think we are in the age era of contradictions!I mean some people can comfortably retire at the age of 20!After all,we believe age is a frame of mind,so work with your efforts.

It was an awesome experience!First of all, ¿Cómo estás? or should I ask Como você está?, maybe hoe gaat het?, lemmi just settle with ازيك؟

See!You already have an idea of what am talking about. It was my first time traveling to Europe&Dubai and the experiences were super amazing.I made memories that will for sure last a lifetime!

First of all, some nuggets of wisdom 🌞 I picked on my trip:

*Pack less-its now more of a cliché but it’s worthwhile to adhere to this…when you shop at more relatively cheaper places like Primark ☺ you’ll definitely shop in loads and then later when packing to go home it will be a hectic time and you’ll have to pay for heavy weight luggage.

*Be financially prepared-That’s all I can say and quote Susan Heller,”When preparing to travel, lay out all your clothes and all your money. Then take off half the clothes and twice the money.”

*Learn a little lingo-at least know some key phrases in the local language of the country you are visiting. Some side tip-you can use body language(but be careful, different cultures interpret non verbal cues differently) It’s an international language and don’t forget to translate a full stop with a smile.😊

*Travel Insurance-it’s an essential tool when traveling, anything can happen!

*Make yourself busy on the plane-you could read novels, magazines, watch movies. Some people only get drunk on plane and disturb others! 😆

*Don’t plan your adventures-don’t plan anything,it might be tempting to have every step of your trip planned to the Nth degree but unplanned days are often the best.I mean,Get lost!Let the tour bus leave you so as you can catch a train or a metro or you could walk too! 😀

Onto it now,countries I visited;

According to my research, many travelers ignore to visit Lisbon, but I think this city is the coolest of them all! It’s got mystique, historic, beautiful and friendly locals, and great food and  lots of wine too. There are many things to do and see in Lisbon.Explore the cathedrals ⛪☺,hit the beaches, enjoy the fabulous art and design and so much more..This city is also way cheaper than  other EU cities.

Benfica Stadium

Spain is a dynamic and interesting country.Madrid to be specific is an attractive blend of tradition and modernity. The night life here is also superb. You can’t leave Madrid without going to the Royal Palace and taking a stroll in Plaza Mayor.

My lovely fellow Eurotrippers

Barcelona is the second-largest city in Spain.I think Barcelona is one of the most energetic cities in Europe. There are many places to visit like Sagrada Familia, walk along La Rambla, an interesting street, centrally located in Barcelona.

Legend says that if you drink water from this famous fountain (called the “Font de Canaletes”) at the top of La Rambla you will fall in love with Barcelona and always return to the city. I’m not superstitious,I drank it & already I feel like going back!
I’d love to see Sagrada Familia when it’s all done!

Camp Nou Stadium with beautiful people!

When you hear of this country,it just click in your mind about Duty-free shopping, right? It’s a small and independent country.I think I can traverse the whole of Andorra on foot!

My lovely Eurotripper Roomie 😍

Marseilles is a beautiful and busy port city. It’s best known on its maritime history and multiculturalism.

I was literally dazzled by the exclusive and expensive cars I saw in Cannes. It’s a lively city and life here is more relaxed. The nightlife here is on another level. There are also quite a number of beaches which are super great.Talk about shopping, talk about Cannes, though relatively expensive!

Lovely people!

Monaco & Monte Carlo

Monaco is one of the smallest country in the world but very wealthy  with the most famous casino in the world found in Monte Carlo.Monte Carlo is a principality of Monaco. This country is surely the playground for the rich and famous!not me and you!😉And by the way,Monaco’s flag is the same as the flag of Indonesia. The only difference is that the Indonesian flag is wider.

Damn,Sandwiched between everything I’ve ever wanted to be near to

I didn’t get to spend much time in Lyon but at least I learnt that it’s the second largest city in France and has  history dating back over more than 20 centuries. Serving as a stage for more than 2000 years of history, the city has a remarkable architectural heritage.

Paris 🗼

I would write a novel about Paris but the read is already long and  many people have written about it,also sang 😊, so lemmi stick to the basics! There’s just something about Paris,it’s magical on it’s own way!She is Beautiful.Paris is beautiful. When her endless history mixes with her modern life, she’s just another thing!Paris is a world center for history, culture, business, sophistication, art, fashion, style, food, music, wine – Paris has a lot to offer.Dope night scenes! For shopaholics, here you shop till you drop!Like millions before me, I too fell in love with this city 😍,it was everything I thought it would be,I mean all the clichés were true. There are a lot of things to do and see in Paree like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre,Champs-Élysées,visit the Disney Land and much more.

We fell in love with Paris!

me ramener à Paris!

Amsterdam was it,the highlight of my time in Europe! The famous Red Light District,Coffeeshops,Heineken Experience,Tulips,Canals tour,Bikes everywhere, cheese and clogs making factory, the Hague,I mean there is much to explore in Holland! Amsterdam is synonymous with freedom and tolerance, with the ability to do what is forbidden in other places.Prostitution is legal here, they even have a statue dedicated to sex workers, smoking Marijuana is also accepted!

Canal tour with Gracefully Gracie!

Statue titled ‘Belle’ to honour sex workers across the world!

Some facts about Belgium:

*Belgium has been producing chocolate for almost 400 years

*Belgian men are the second tallest in the world

*The Big Bang theory originated in Belgium

Dubai is the most populous city in the UAE.It is always said that Dubai is a city that must be seen to be believed, and that’s for sure. The Architecture here is outstanding.Burj Khalifa,Desert Safari, the Dubai Mall,Palm Jumeirah,Dubai Marina,Dubai Museum are among the many attractions in Dubai.

Dhow Cruise Dubai Marina (Dinner)

“You can shake the sand from your shoes, but not from your soul” Nice experience!

We wrapped it in Style!

Fellow Eurotrippers! We didn’t realize we were making memories,we just knew we were having fun!You were all Differently Awesome!

Thank you [ https://www.instagram.com/wavu.travels/ ] & my fellow Eurotrippers for making it happen,we all created lasting memories!Looking forward to more!

Resumes Vs cvs

A CV (Curriculum Vitæ, which means course of life in Latin) is an in-depth document that can be laid out over two or more pages and it contains a high level of detail about your achievements, a great deal more than just a career biography. The CV covers your education as well as any other accomplishments like publications, awards, honours etc.

The document tends to be organised chronologically and should make it easy to get an overview of an individual’s full working career. A CV is static and doesn’t change for different positions, the difference would be in the cover letter.

A resume, or résumé, is a concise document typically not longer than one page as the intended reader will not dwell on your document for very long. The goal of a resume is to make an individual stand out from the competition.

The job seeker should adapt the resume to every position they apply for. It is in the applicant’s interest to change the resume from one job application to another and to tailor it to the needs of the specific post. A resume doesn’t have to be ordered chronologically, doesn’t have to cover your whole career like and is a highly customisable document.

As stated, three major differences between CVs and resumes are the length, the purpose and the layout. A resume is a brief summary of your skills and experience over one or two pages, a CV is more detailed and can stretch well beyond two pages. The resume will be tailored to each position whereas the CV will stay put and any changes will be in the cover letter.

A CV has a clear chronological order listing the whole career of the individual whereas a resume’s information can be shuffled around to best suit the applicant. I would say the main difference between a resume and a CV is that a CV is intended to be a full record of your career history and a resume is a brief, targeted list of skills and achievements.

Being Pro in writing a CV! 📝

Coming up with a well written, concise CV is one of the hardest tasks ever.

HR Managers and recruiting officers have thousands of CVs to go through. Therefore, your CV can be disqualified simply because of small mistakes here and there and maybe, just maybe, that is why you are not getting call backs from potential employers.

Here’s how to come up with the perfect CV:

1. Unnecessary personal information

Anything besides your name, email address and contact information should not be included on your CV. Details such as your tribe, age, height, weight and religion are minor details that no one cares about.

2. Education Background

If you are a university graduate or have a college diploma then you do not need to include all your other education details. Your university degree is your highest level of education and that’s all that matters. If you are yet to graduate, you can include both the secondary school and the university where you’re currently enrolled and for which course.

3. Grades

Related to number 2,if you got a D- in your final exams or a GPA of 1.88, why! oh why would you include that in your resume? No offense but no one will hire a ‘dummy’. Remove that shame on your resume and show the employer that you’re smart beyond your grades at the interview.

4. Work experience

There’s no need to include all of your work experience, such as a 3-day job you did at the mall and the likes. Include only what’s related to the particular job you are applying for. Remember, no employer has time to go through a 4-5 page CV the shorter the better. Do not bore the employer with unnecessary details. Your CV will be shoved in the dustbin.

5. Hobbies

Even if you have a mixtape out, keep unnecessary hobbies to yourself. Only include hobbies that are related to the job you are applying for. If for example you are applying for a Customer Care job, you can state socializing and making new friends as one of your hobbies.

6. Salary details

Unless you have specifically been requested to include salary details on the CV, leave them out. That’s the last thing you negotiate on, when and if you get the job.

7. Email address

If you still use the embarrassing email address you created when you were 16 years old, it’s time to change it up. Create a formal email address, bearing your official name. You can do it on Gmail or Yahoo. It’s free! No employer will hire someone with an email address like empresstheee1sexy@gmail.com. Nah!

8. Saving the CV

Do not save your CV as CV or Resume or doc or whatever. Save it as your name, unless advised otherwise by the hiring company. Also, do not include the word CV, Resume or the date at the top of your CV.

9. Photograph

This is a debatable point. Some people argue that it’s good to include your photo, others are of the opinion that you should leave it out. Some companies prefer that you not to include a photograph so they can safely adhere to the Equal Employment Opportunity legislation. Hey, unless it’s a modelling, acting, flight attendant or any other job that requires applicants to attach their photographs, then it’s probably better to leave it out.

10. Career objective

Rather than writing a summary of what you want, tell the employer what you’re capable of and if hired, what you will bring to the table.

Lastly, remember to keep it short, error free, simple and at maximum, 2 pages!

Reset Button on Life! ▶

It's Never too Late to hit Reset on Life!

So I just felt I didn’t want to feel like this anymore,or ever again(Living life for the sake of living attitude).I’ve always believed in the notion that ‘You just need to slow down, stay calm and just let things come to you.’But heey,I  just discovered it’s not that easy 😕.So I’ve decided to change..many things, everything!I’ve always had lots of excuses for not being able to change, but at the end of the day they are just excuses.Being able to change starts with your decision to change, and I’ve decided to change.I’m not too old to change after all😆.

I know it’s quite hard to change..even hell can get comfy once you’ve settled in 😊,but just understand that change is a process not an event.

There are various reasons why I want to make these life alterations, such as:

1. My overall lifestyle habits are not conducive towards a healthy and productive life.

2.I want to be more mindful, happy and worry less.

3. I believe am capable of so much more. I want to make an effort to exploit my full potential and accomplish more.

4. Am not in the best of health. Am kind of out of shape,  I keep late hours and still sleep too much!

So I’ve carefully decided on the changes am making in my life. These changes are practical, effective and achievable for me.They are

  •  I’ve decided to have a daily routine which I will be following diligently. I do not have to wake up in the morning and figure out what I need to do because already I have a routine that I will adhere to.This helps in having a planned day without doing unplanned and unnecessary stuff.
  • . I’ve set clear goals that I want to achieve. I’ve written these down so that there is no ambiguity. These goals are specific and clearly stated so that it shall be obvious when I achieve them (or not).
  •   I’ve made sure the goals I’ve set are quantifiable and measurable. For example, rather than saying I would exercise often (what does often mean?), I’ve said that I would exercise 5 times per week for 1 hour each time. Because my goals are so specific, it shall be easier to review my progress.
  •  Working out now is among my priority.
  • Another change I’ve decided to make is to get rid of or distance myself from friends whom I consider to be toxic or bad examples. I want  friends that have a positive influence on me.
  •  I’ve  made a commitment to pay closer attention to my nutrition and eat healthier food. Am cutting out junk food, sodas, excessive fat, and processed foods. Actually I’ve started paying attention to nutritional labels.
  •  Another change I’ve chosen to make pertains to reading. I’ve decided to read more books that are helpful. I now download great books on my Wattpad app and read them at my free time on my phone.
  •  I cannot believe how much time I wasted in the past surfing the internet and visiting web sites that posted junk.I’ve decided to avoid web sites that predominantly post violent, discriminatory, sexual and useless information 👏.
  •  I’ve always managed to convince myself that am a night owl and definitely not a morning person. I’ve now decided to be in bed by 11PM and waking up much earlier than before.
  •  Another major change am making in my life is being more careful with my money 💰.I am joining Team Saving!
  •  In addition to saving more money, I want to invest my money now.
  •  Rather than spend money buying random and unnecessary stuff that I do not need, I now want to spend money on memorable experiences that I know I will cherish.
  •  I have decided to stay in closer contact with family and friends whom I care about deeply.
  • One thing that I have to change and do much better now is managing my time. I did not realize how much I was wasting in a typical day on unnecessary things, be it daydreaming, spending time doing nothing , trolling the internet for useless gossip, sleeping the whole day, etc. Now am more aware of how I should spend the most precious commodity all of us have been given,Time! ⌚
  •  This one is a good one-not to try and seek the approval of others. This is a big change for me because I definitely try too hard to please others, even if it means sacrificing my authenticity.  I now want to use my conscience as my guide .I know that I cannot please everyone ✌.
  •  Another major change I want to make in my life is making time to learn new skills and increasing my knowledge through reading books/internet on meditation, exercise, nutrition, etc.
  •  If there was an award for procrastination, then am the champion here 🙌! I  procrastinate a lot. I want to improve this tendency and now jump into things without letting fear get the better of me. The  small act of starting a task makes all the difference because it builds momentum and confidence and motivates you to continue.
  •  I want to challenge myself to do things that I consider difficult. I  shy away from difficult endeavors because am always scared and I do not believe in myself sufficiently. I realize now that many of these fears are unwarranted. I also know now that challenging yourself is the only way to grow and improve. You should view the discomfort in a different light. If you are uncomfortable doing something, there is a good chance it’s because you are taking yourself out of your comfort zone and learning something new.
  • •Being Spiritually Fit 🙏

  •  Last and not least, I want do my best to love myself now. I want to make a conscious effort to practice simple but positive affirmations throughout the day that emphasize self-love and worth.

Half empty ⬇ Half full ⬆

“Life is a creation of the mind.” Shakespeare put it this way when he said “there is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” And Flip Wilson’s character, Geraldine, brought this idea to life with a laugh when he said “what you see is what you get.” A big part of therapy is working to understand that what
we see in our lives has a lot to do with how we see it.
Perspective influences everything. We do not see our lives in purely objective terms. We are subjective creatures. We see through a filter. We have biases. As I like to say, everyone has a
personality . And that personality alters our perceptions. Introverts see life differently than do extroverts. Pessimists have a different take on life than optimists or even realists. If you have a leaning toward depression, your sense of life takes on that gray sheen. If you are somewhat anxious, everything revolves at a slightly higher speed.

Do Something!

May 17th
Hello readers ✋✋,was good? Hoping that you had a fantastic and productive day.
Speaking of ‘productive’,how do you usually spend your day?Question specifically to those who aren’t working or basically having solid things to do during the day.

Personal testimony,I used to sleep like for 18hrs+ a day,I mean who does that..especially during weekends when I had no classes.
To cut the short story shorter, you should look for things to keep you busy, whether paying or nah..this is especially to full time students like I 🙋
I have some ideas that could be of help maybe;
1)You could install reading Apps in your phone, whether novels,news,fashion,whatever..

This here is an App containing novels that I read when I find myself idle ☝
(If you need link to this app comment below,I’ll get back to you 😉)

2)You could try freelancing, writing articles, online marketing..especially to those whose computer knowledge is at point 👌..I do this sometimes and its a good side hussle coz actually it pays..
3)You could join a club in your institution where you get involved in lots of activities..

The ideas are many.Just find something to keep you busy.Remember an Idle mind is an..you know better ☺.
